Cancellation & Refund Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

At SheRox, we believe membership conditions should be clear and transparent.

This policy explains how membership cancellations, missed payments, changes and refunds are handled.

1. Month-to-Month Memberships

SheRox Starter, Active and Unlimited memberships operate on a month-to-month basis.

Memberships renew automatically until cancelled according to the applicable agreement and South African law.

2. How to Cancel

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.

Email your request to:

info@sherox.co.za

Include your full name and the email address associated with your membership.

SheRox will confirm receipt of your request and the effective cancellation date.

3. Cancellation Notice Period

The standard contractual cancellation arrangement is one full calendar month’s notice.

Notice ordinarily takes effect on the first day of the month following receipt of a written cancellation request.

The membership then ends on the last day of that following month.

Example

If a cancellation request is received on 15 October:

  • November will ordinarily be the final membership month.
  • The November membership fee will remain payable.
  • The membership will ordinarily end on 30 November.

The same standard calendar-month notice arrangement ordinarily applies to a request received before the end of October.

This arrangement remains subject to applicable consumer protection legislation. Where the law provides a different mandatory cancellation right, that right takes precedence.

4. Fees During the Notice Period

Members remain responsible for membership fees lawfully due during the applicable notice period.

Simply stopping attendance or cancelling a debit order does not constitute a formal cancellation.

5. Refunds

As a general policy, SheRox does not provide discretionary refunds for:

  • Unused monthly class sessions.
  • Failure to attend available classes.
  • Voluntary non-use of an active membership.
  • A change of personal preference or circumstances.

However, this policy does not remove any refund, cancellation or other remedy required by law.

Requests involving a failure to deliver contracted services, legally recognised cancellation rights or other exceptional circumstances will be assessed fairly.

6. Illness, Injury and Pregnancy

Members who cannot continue training because of medical circumstances should contact SheRox as soon as reasonably possible.

SheRox may consider appropriate alternatives, including membership changes or an approved freeze.

Any legal rights relating to the circumstances remain unaffected.

7. Membership Freezes

Requests to freeze a membership should be submitted in writing with at least 30 days’ notice.

A freeze must be approved and confirmed by SheRox.

The agreed freeze period, billing arrangements and resumption date should be recorded in writing.

8. Package Changes

Members may request an upgrade or downgrade by giving at least 30 days’ notice.

The effective date and any changes to membership fees or benefits will be confirmed before implementation.

9. Unsuccessful Payments

Where a debit order fails, SheRox may suspend membership access, subject to applicable law.

Members will be notified and may be requested to resolve the outstanding payment.

Any subsequent membership termination must follow applicable legal requirements.

A former member applying to rejoin may be subject to a separately disclosed rejoining charge equivalent to one month’s selected package fee, where lawfully permitted.

10. Cancelled Classes

If SheRox cancels a class, affected members will be offered appropriate booking adjustments, restored sessions or other suitable arrangements consistent with their legal rights.

11. Promotions and Free Trials

Free trials are ordinarily limited to one per eligible participant.

Promotional memberships may have additional disclosed conditions.

Promotional conditions do not remove statutory consumer rights.

12. Consumer Protection

Nothing in this policy is intended to restrict rights arising under the Consumer Protection Act or other applicable South African legislation.
